Liza TangneyLiza Tangney, GRI, CBR, Broker/REALTOR®

774-696-1252  ~   TangneyProperties@gmail.com

Originally from Milford, Liza Tangney moved to Worcester in 2002 and began her real estate career in 2004.  Within the first two years of being in the business, Liza was voted by her peers as the 2006 winner of the “REALTORS® Choice Award”, which  recognized her for outstanding professionalism in listing and selling real estate.

Believing in life long learning and striving for excellence in everything she does, Liza earned designations for Graduate REALTOR® Institute(GRI) and Certified Buyer Representative(CBR).  Gaining experience and knowledge from working in other offices, opening their own office seemed like the next natural step for John and Liza.  Information and passion about what they do is shared freely with clients and other agents.  Through the ease of online communication and collaboration, we move forward together as a team.

Liza’s hands-on approach with her clients is always calming, guiding and consulting with her unique style in simplifying what can appear like an overly complicated process.  When asked about this,  Liza replied, “I always thought, ‘why should people believe me?’  So, I greet my clients with 100% transparency in all phases of the process.  My job is to inform home buyers and sellers about the process and milestones to meet to reach their goal. Then along the way, I provide them with the pertinent market data and due diligence necessary, so they can make an informed decision about what is usually the largest transaction in their life-time.”

John TangneyJohn Tangney, Broker/REALTOR®

774-696-1251   ~   TangneyTeam@gmail.com

Born and raised in Worcester, educated through the Worcester school system, John spent much time throughout all areas of Worcester and the County.

John has always loved learning about all aspects of the history of his hometown.  Changes in properties and their individual histories are just an extension of this.  John feels the older a structure is, be it a home or business, the better.  The different methods of construction and style throughout the years lead to the character of a building.  While exploring personal histories of these buildings enhance the appeal unique to each individual property.

John started in real estate in 1997 when he began thinking about buying a house of his own.  Now, years later, his favorite part of the job is helping others in that “first-time” situation and making it a more enjoyable and satisfying chapter in their lives.

Having the experience and knowledge that has grown working for other brokers, opening their own office seemed the next natural step for John and his wife Liza.  Together they offer a wealth of experience to clients and often develop close friendships.  John and Liza welcome calls and questions about homeownership long after the process has been completed.

Adam DurranceAdam Durrance, REALTOR®

508-615-0080  ~   AdamDurrance@yahoo.com

Adam Durrance’s real estate career began when he moved to Worcester in 2004.  Having bought and sold properties in other areas, the idea of helping others through the process appealed to him.

Living in Worcester offers something for everyone with many different types of areas for most tastes.  Ranging from urban settings to more of a suburban field and price ranges that accomodate those tastes.  Worcester has many parks, upscale homes, cultural events, Bio-tech schooling, many hospitals and schooling of all choices.  If you don’t care for “city living”, then there are many choices in the surrounding areas from moderate living to upscale.

When asked what part of helping home buyers and sellers Adam liked best, he replied “Specializing in residential properties, I work with clients in finding the best fit for the life-style they are looking for in the price range they are comfortable with.  I pride myself in working with other professionals throughout the real estate transfer in problem solving various situations that arise.  It has been a tough market recently, this skill helps me to stay on my toes for anything that comes up. Also, I really enjoy working with sellers in showing them how to stage and photograph their homes to maximize results from the internet – ultimately maximizing their sale.”

Sarah Gillespie, REALTOR®

774-578-8885   ~   Sarah@GillespieElectric.net

Sarah Gillespie graduated from Fitchburg State in 1994 with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.  Over the span of 15 years, her career path progressed from Special Ed. Tutor in the Lexington Public School System, teaching Adult Ed – English as a Second Language, as a Health Educator for Weight Management Clinics to the Director of the Catch the Hope Program.  Sarah’s passion for helping and making a contribution to the welfare of others shines through.

Sarah’s interest in real estate began back in 2004 with the purchase of her own home.  Actually going through the process of finding a home for her young family brought about the idea for a new and different career path that still involved helping others.  Due to Sarah’s interest in decorating, design and architecture combined with her education background, a career in real estate seemed like an obvious next step.

Educating and guiding clients through the many hurdles of a real estate transaction is one of the main things Sarah enjoys in being a real estate agent.  As CEO of Gillespie Electric, a family owned and operated business, Sarah is no stranger to helping homeowners through the process of repairs and upgrades to their home.

Joanna KingJoanna King Conety, REALTOR®

508-769-4116   ~   JoannaKing21@aol.com

Wanting a career she was passionate about that provided flexibility while raising her young children, Joanna King started her real estate business in 2004.  A true teacher at heart, Joanna believes that the best real estate transfers come from well-informed real estate clients. She makes a point to sit down and thoroughly explain what buyers and sellers can expect in this very exciting, yet complicated time in their lives.

While Joanna most enjoys working with first-time home buyers, “holding their hands” through the process of buying their first homes, she also loves guiding experienced home owners in the preparation and selling of their homes, as well as working with savvy real estate investors to find great ways to make their money work harder for them through real estate investments.

In Joanna’s words, “My absolute favorite part of this job, hands down, is when I take a client who has been searching for that ‘perfect home’ into a property and they have an involuntary reaction to it- like gasping or covering their heart- as they view the property in awe.  That’s when I know we’ve found ‘home.’”

Maryanne Swartz

Maryanne Belmonte Swartz, REALTOR®

781-405-6396   ~   MaryanneSwartz@gmail.com

Maryanne holds a BA in Communications from Framingham State University, and a M.Ed. from Lesley University.   A strong believer in being active in the local community, she enjoys performing in Community Theater, is a Board Member of Stepping Stone Community Theater in Whitinsville, MA, and she  is the local Family-Friendly Activities writer for Examiner.com.

Like most people, Maryanne started following the real estate market when she was looking into buying her first house.    “I remember when I was buying my first home I was getting “helpful advice” from friends and family about things that they thought were important.   And I’m sure those things were important… to them.  Frankly, all it did was confuse me more about what I should be doing and how.”  Maryanne works hard to take clients through each step in the process by getting to know what their wants and needs are and what is ultimately the best fit and approach for them.  In the end, it is much more enjoyable for everyone involved knowing that we’re all on the same page and the clients are relieved knowing that their unique needs are driving the process.

With a background in Corporate Communications and Education, Maryanne’s strengths lie in connecting with people and guiding them to their full potential.  Whether that potential was a successful marketing campaign, learning how to read or finding that perfect home, Maryanne’s enthusiasm for helping people reach their goals has been a common thread in all of her work experiences.   She understands the importance of being a good listener and an even better communicator.  Believing that we learn more by listening, Maryanne takes the time to really listen to her clients’ needs in order to provide them a truly personalized approach.
